Conclusions
It seems like most TPS figures mentioned in crypto space are theoretical maximums or at least results of a tests run with the lightest transactions possible to achieve high TPS counts, very little connected to real world usage scenarios. Everyone seems to be exaggerating their chain's TPS. In this environment, it is hard to give truthful and realistic TPS figures, as by doing so, you would be in disadvantage compared to everyone else. This is my effort trying to fight this problem. Better data leads to better and more informed decisions. Let’s keep things real! :)

You are welcome to use this datasheet (picture), or just the data in it however you like. The numbers in the picture are partly quite different from the data hovering around the crypto space, so I would recommend you consider linking back to this page to inform people, what is the reasoning behind the numbers, especially in case you don't include the link in the picture.
